     RM Tank Care contains a specialized blend of beneficial bacteria & enzymes which eliminate odors -- not by masking them, but by breaking down the odor causing compounds. RM Tank Care will digest waste & tissue as well as grease, oils & detergents.

     We've all experienced odors in the black water.  Some additives will help by masking the odors, but this leads to other problems and dilemmas such as:

1) Special RV toilet tissue? This is used because many chemical additives won't dissolve store brand tissue.

2) Sensor malfunction in the black water tank:  Organics & tissue stick to the sensors causing a false reading. Flushing with water helps, but doesn't completely clean the sensor nor does it prohibit the organics from sticking again.  In the gray water, soaps, oils & grease will coat the sensors rendering them useless.

3) Odor in the gray water. Those same soaps and oils from the shower and grease from the kitchen float and coat the tank. The mixture of these compounds in water on a warm day can produce an obnoxious odor.

     Some chemical additives on the market will actually promote these problems. There are other additives available to combat these problems, but why spend the money on numerous products when the use of RM Tank Care will eliminate these problems and keep them from reoccurring.

Directions for use of RM Tank Care

     If you are switching from a product which contains: Formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, paraformaldehyde, quaternary based compounds, phenol based compounds, or alcohols, you must first purge your tank. These harsh chemicals can not distinguish our friendly bacteria from waste bacteria. Residual chemicals which remain on the walls of the lines and tank will kill our friendly bacteria.

     If you are switching from a product which does not contain any of the above listed harsh chemicals you do not need to purge your system before using RM Tank Care. Compatible products typically are enzyme-based or detergent based. Call our office if your are not sure or proceed with the purge sequence described below.

Purging your system:

Dump your tank   Fill tank with fresh water Add 2 oz. RM Dry TankCare Let stand overnight   Dump tank again

Using RM Tank Care:
Add fresh water and proper amount of RM Dry for your tank size (see directions on bottle)

Handling and Storage:
Handling: Wash hands with soap and water after use.  Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place.
